“We pulled in a thousand (dollars) last year and this year we’re looking to raise at least that,” Oneonta coach Lee Ferrara said.

Delaware League Championships

Roxbury’s Shannon Sprague, the lone girl in the field, shot an 87 at the par-72 Delhi College Golf Course to earn medalist honors in the Delaware League Championships.

Sprague won by a shot over Gilboa’s Mychael Grant, Andes/South Kortright’s Tyler Lamport and Ryan Sluiter, and Windham’s Dan Marino.

Grant and Lamport finished second and third, respectively, after matching cards.

Windham and Gilboa shared the team title with 365 strokes. Along with Marino’s 88, the Warriors received a 91 from Malcolm Seamans and 93s from Skylar Schoonmaker and Ed Moran.

Along with Grant, Gilboa’s Ben Standhart shot an 89, Zak Perry had a 93 and Nick Losito contributed a 95.

Andes/SK was third with 371, two shots better than Margaretville.

SWIMMING

at West Cananda Valley

Lindsay Harloff, Tessa Griger and Eden Griger earned two victories apiece as Cooperstown to a 55-40 road victory.

Harloff won the 200-yard freestyle (2 minutes, 15.61 seconds) and the 100 free (1:02.92), Tessa Griger touched first in the 200 individual medley (2:36.23) and the 100 butterfly (1:07.23), and Eden Griger was first in the 50 free (27.11) and the 500 free (5:41.50).
