Jake Crotser threw for three touchdowns and ran for another, but host Oneonta High lost a Section Four Football Conference game to Johnson City.
Rick Balles opened the scoring for JC with a 76-yard TD run. Teammate Anthony Johns followed with two rushing touchdowns — an 8-yard run with 9:14 left in the period with a 6-yarder nine minutes later — to give the Wildcats a 21-6 lead after one period.
Crotser hit Skylar Thompson for a 78-yard TD pass with 5:19 left in the first quarter. He also found Josh Griffis for a 20-yard TD pass to open the scoring in the second period, cutting the Wildcats’ lead to 21-12.
Johns then scored two more touchdowns as JC closed the first half with a 34-12 lead at the break. He had a 27-yard TD run with 7:27 left in the second quarter and a 40-yard run with 2:22 remaining.
Crotser and Thompson hooked up again in the third quarter, this time for a 37-yard TD pass 1:50 into the second half.
Sam Sherrill contributed a 21-yard TD run in the third quarter for the Yellowjackets, who capped their scoring with a 20-yard TD run by Crotser and a two-point conversion run by James Sibella with 3:24 left.
JC kicker Corey Cochrane went 7-for-7 on extra points.
