Hawkeyes shut out

The Cooperstown Hawkeyes had their five-game winning streak snapped with a 3-0 loss Tuesday at Glens Falls in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League.

Cooperstown was limited to three singles by four Golden Eagles pitchers. Brendan O’Reilly, Cameron Day and Adam Mund had hits for the Hawkeyes.

Cody Smith (1-6) took the loss despite allowing one run on three hits over five innings. He struck out three and walked four.

Cooperstown (18-25), which is in last place in the East Division, will finish its season at 5 p.m. today against Amsterdam at Doubleday Field.
