Jeanine Tesori’s Music Industry Tips

Start composing as soon as possible, even if you’re very young.

Whenever possible, hold onto copyright ownership of everything you compose.

If you give up your copyright ownership, you’d better get a lot of money in return.

Read a lot about the music business.  Learn to understand your contracts.

Don’t let a fear of failure hold you back.  Don’t waste time on what others think of you.

Make the choice to be healthy and curious, and to stay on whatever track you’ve chosen. These are the ingredients for a successful life.
