Two men were arrested by New York State Police at Richfield Springs in connection with a burglary at a liquor store in Richfield Springs.
The weeks-long investigation led to the arrest of Tyler S. Hotaling, 19, and Richard T. Herron, 19.
Troopers received a complaint on Sept. 6 just after 6 a.m. when a concerned resident told them the glass door of the liquor store was broken, according to a media release. Troopers determined that four bottles of liquor were stolen from Park View Liquor Store, a value of $150. Damage to the door totaled $495, police said.
Hotaling, of Richfield Springs, was arrested Wednesday and charged with the felonies of third-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief. Herron, of Jordanville, was arrested Thursday and charged with third-degree burglary, a felony.
Both were arraigned in the village of Richfield Springs Court and released on their own recognizance to reappear in court Nov. 27.
