Eileen M. Losee
EDMESTON — Eileen M. Losee, 80, formerly of Edmeston, died peacefully on Aug. 2, 2013, at Valley View Nursing Home in Norwich.
She was born Sept. 19, 1932, at home in Edmeston, the daughter of Francis and Ruby (Best) Andrews.
She married Frank Losee at her parent’s home on Aug. 23, 1949. He predeceased her on July 9, 2000.
Eileen loved the children who she taught at the Otsego School in Edmeston.
She was a member of the Second Baptist Church, the church choir and the Jubillaires church singing group, and a member of the Edmeston Fire Department Auxiliary.
Eileen enjoyed music, reading and her flower garden. She was a fan of both the Yankees and the Mets. She especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren play baseball and soccer during their school years.
Her children, Michael Losee, Tamara and James Bolton; her grandchildren, Jeremy and Megan Bolton, Kevin Bolton and Ryan Bolton; her five great-grandchildren; her brother, Earl Claire Andrews; and several brothers and sisters-in-law, survive Eileen.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, at the Houk-Johnston-Terry Funeral Home, Edmeston, with Pastor Ray Merritt and Pastor Jay Henderson, officiating. Calling hours will be on Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Edmeston Union Cemetery
Contributions may be made in Eileen’s memory to either Catskill Area Hospice & Palliative Care or the Second Baptist Church in Edmeston.
