ONEONTA — Rose M. Eriksen, 93, of Oneonta, entered into eternity to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at the A.O. Fox Nursing Home.

She was born in South Kortright on Feb. 17, 1920, the daughter of James and Ilona (Miller) Fox. She was one of seven sisters, and a brother.

In 1949, she married Kay J. Eriksen, a military man from New York City. He predeceased her in 1979.

Rose enjoyed traveling to the Hawaiian Islands, Caribbean cruises, touring countries in Europe, as well as trips to Mexico and California.

In 1982, she left the Albany area and moved to Oneonta and resided first at Emmons Farms and then Nader Towers.

Rose loved life. She was a walker, writer and a great lover of music.

Rose is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter Christine Eriksen Frondelli; and six sisters, Helen Sipos, Elizabeth Barletta, Irene Decker, Louise Grant, Mary All and Margaret Fox; and a brother, Joseph Fox.

A funeral Mass will be offered at 10:15 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, in St. Mary’s Church with the Rev. David Mickiewicz, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Emmons.

There will be no calling hours.
