ONEONTA — Jared Simon Trotti, 18, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, May 11, 2013, in Albany, N.Y.

He was born June 6, 1994, in Cooperstown, the son of Bryan C. Trotti and Lisa A. Onorato.

Jared was a graduate of Oneonta High School, Class of 2012. He was currently attending Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown, Pa., majoring in business.

Jared loved sports. In high school, he played lacrosse and baseball and was on the ski team, and in college, ultimate Frisbee, lacrosse, baseball, flag football and dodge ball. He was a fan of LSU, the Giants and the Yankees. Jared was member of the United Methodist Church Youth Group. He enjoyed his time spent on Mission Service trips. He went to Jamaica to help build a church with the United Methodist Church in Oneonta, and in January, with the college, went to New Orleans to help those in need. He was a thoughtful and caring person; but above all, he most especially loved his little brother.

He is survived by his parents, Bryan Trotti and Lisa Onorato of Oneonta; his brothers, Kevin Trotti and Dustin Trotti; his sister, Ashley Trotti; grandparents, Mildred Trotti of Zachary, La., Francis and Bruna Onorato of Montvale, N.J.; aunts and uncles, Larry Trotti, Barry Trotti, Richard Onorato, Suzanne Holzman, Caroline Davies, Francis Onorato Jr. and their beloved families; a great aunt, Raye Onorato and many beloved friends.

He was predeceased by his grandfather, John Rawls Trotti.

Calling hours will be 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013, with the funeral service at 3 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, 66 Chestnut St., Oneonta, with the Rev. Teressa Sivers, pastor, officiating.
