ONEONTA — Norma McBride, 77, of Oneonta, passed away Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014 at M.I. Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown.
She was born June 30, 1936, at A.O. Fox Hospital, the daughter of the late Albert and Madeleine (Kuster) Erdmann.
Norma worked in dress factories in Oneonta for more than 40 years. She retired in 1999 from Sanyo.
She was a musician, playing saxophone and clarinet, in several bands in and around Oneonta for more than 20 years.
She enjoyed reading, doing jig-saw puzzles and plastic canvas. Norma will be remembered for her witty sense of humor and her ready smile.
She was predeceased by her husband, John McBride.
Surviving is her daughter, Mary McBride-Froh and her husband, Christopher Froh; two grandchildren, Tyler and Katelyn Froh; one brother, John Goodrich, all of Oneonta.
At Norma’s request there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
