BURLINGTON — Elizabeth F. Bolton, 74, of Burlington, died peacefully Feb. 27, 2014, at home with her loving family by her side.

She was born Dec. 28, 1939, in Lowville, the daughter of Albert and Florence (Duffney) Morin.

On Nov. 14, 1959, she married Charles Bolton, who survives.

Elizabeth was a devoted homemaker who worked hand in hand with her husband throughout their 54 years of marriage.

She was a longtime member of the Baptist Church of Burlington, a 4-H leader, served as the Burlington Town Tax Collector and active in the Farm Bureau.

Elizabeth was well-known at the West Burlington Roller Rink, square dancing, and her love for playing cards, board games, crocheting and knitting. She was a talented baker who created beautiful decorated cakes.

Elizabeth loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Charlie; her children, Dean and Colleen Bolton, Cindy and Robert Cornnell, Dawn and Marty Slentz, Lisa and Russell McCall, Scott and Jennifer Bolton; her grandchildren, Amanda Bolton, Joseph Santiago, Stefanie Cornnell, Nick Slentz, Rachel Slentz, Shelby McCall, Dante Cornnell, Jordan Cornnell, Caleb Bolton, Justin McCall, Max Bolton, Sam Bolton; her sisters, Mary (Milt) Anson, Anna (Jack) Reed and Nancy Myers; her sister-in-law, Dorothy Bolton; many nieces and nephews; and her cat, “Snoopy.”

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 3, 2014, at the Baptist Church of Burlington with Pastor Barry Davis officiating.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2014, at the Houk-Johnston-Terry Funeral Home, Edmeston.

Interment will follow in Burlington Green Cemetery.

Contributions may be made in Elizabeth’s name to the Burlington Green Baptist Church or the American Diabetes Association.

Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Houk-Johnston-Terry Funeral Home, Edmeston and condolences to the family may be left at the funeral home website
