Avis May Lambrecht

Avis was beloved by her family and all members of the community who got to knew her over her lifetime.

Although limited in her activities over the later years of her life due to an illness a few years back, Avis enjoyed many activities over the span of her life. For many years she was an avid bowler, bowling on various couples and ladies leagues in Wells Bridge, Sidney and Bainbridge lanes.

During the 1980s she, her husband, and close friends were enthusiastic members of the Sidney Moose Club. She was a member of the Sidney Center United Methodist Church. Avis enjoyed doing many crafts including sewing, knitting and cooking, and was a many years member of the Sidney Center Craft Club. Perhaps Avis’ most enjoyed hobby over the years was camping. She enjoyed camping in various campsites of the Adirondack Mountains and Verona Beach for many years and particularly enjoyed taking her grandchildren along on her and Warren’s many camping trips.
