Murriel S. Dickison
ROME — Murriel S. Dickison, 79, of Rome, died on Monday, Feb. 24, 2014.
She was born March 3, 1934, in Cooperstown, the daughter of Leslie and Martha Becker Dickison. She was a graduate of Cooperstown Central School and Hartwick College.
Ms. Dickison was a social worker for New York State for over 30 years, retiring in 1989.
She was a member and organist at Ascension Lutheran Church in Rome until its closing. She loved to read and play music.
Murriel is survived by a sister, Elna Dickison of Milford; and special friends, Judi and George Laver of Rome, and Helen Adelle Phillips-Hannah of Rome.
She was predeceased by a brother, Richard Dickison.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
There will be no calling hours.
