James Joseph Hagzan Sr.

MARYLAND — Our beloved father James of Maryland, passed away peacefully on Nov. 28, at the age of 74.

Adored son to the late Adam and Marie, brother to Sr. Frances O.P., Rose Ciecwesz, and the late Stanley "Sonny," Margaret, Dorothy, George, and William. Beloved husband to both his late wives Halina and Patricia; cherished father, grandfather, brother-in-law and uncle. A man loved by many.

James had an avid love for birds and a musical ear, playing the harmonica until he was no longer able.

He spent his career as a mechanic and service station owner in Kings Park, Long Island, as well as the upstate towns of Windham, Durham, Schenevus and Oneonta area.

A Mass was held on Dec. 7, in his hometown at St. Joseph's RC Church, Kings Park.

A memorial will be held at a later date in the Oneonta/Maryland area.

The family asks anyone wishing to donate to send to either: The Epilepsy Foundation or the National MS Society.
