Beatrice H. Shubert Judd
BROOKSVILLE, Fla. — Beatrice H. Shubert Judd, 77, of Brooksville, Fla., and formerly of North Syracuse, passed away Friday, Dec. 13, 2013.
She was born in Walton, graduated from Unadilla High School and from CCBI.
Mrs. Judd was a secretary for Carrier and ESM United Teachers. She had been a member of Greater Syracuse Civic Social, Happy Times, Plank Road Historical Assoc. and American Legion Post No. 259 Auxiliary.
A member since 1968, and past president of Bishop Curley Council 3717 Columbiettes, Mrs. Judd was also president of the NYS Council Columbiettes from 1994 to 1996. She belonged to St. Rose of Lima Church in North Syracuse and St. Anthony’s Church in Brooksville.
She was predeceased by her husband, Walter F. Judd on Aug. 2, 2001; by her sister, Dorothy Barnhart; and by brothers, Walter and Robert Shubert.
Survived by her children, Walter Jr. of Maryland, Cynthia Burns of Virginia, Ronald J. (Francine) of Massachusetts and Robert L. (Melody) of Mattydale; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elsa Lampron and Esther Horstman; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23, at Fergerson Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. a Mass of Christian burial at St. Rose of Lima Church with entombment following in St. Mary’s Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum, DeWitt.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 215 South Main St., North Syracuse with the Columbiette Prayer at 6:30 p.m.
