DAVENPORT CENTER — Edward W. Lorber, 58, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, at home surrounded by his family.
He was born Aug. 21, 1955, in Bay Shore, to Hilliard and (Eleanor) Lewis Austin.
Ed was raised in Saint Marys, Idaho, by June Lorber. He enjoyed traveling the country as a truck driver. In March of 1999, he moved to upstate New York and was a well-known carpenter.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Judy Lorber; sons, Jonathon Lorber (Ashley Lawyer) of Davenport Center, Nathon Lorber of Davenport Center and David (Heather) Pierce of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren, Arrihanna, Connor and Hayleigh; and many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at Ed and Judy’s home for close friends and family from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Southern NY Region, 13 Beech St., Johnson City, NY 13790.
