ROSEBOOM — Gary A. Trafton, 65, passed away Dec. 25, 2013, surrounded by his devoted and adoring family.
He was born June 28, 1948, in Little Falls, the son of Wallace and Norma (Lyman) Trafton.
He shared over 30 loving years of marriage to Sheryl (Erikson) Trafton.
He was a loving husband, father and brother. Hardworking, resourceful, witty, and fun loving. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and he enjoyed fixing cars.
He had a great sense of humor and was willing to help anyone at anytime. He was a humble man with a great singing voice that very few had the pleasure of experiencing.
Survivors include his wife, Sheryl; daughters, Amy (Darren) Johnson of Loranger, La., Katrina Trafton of Sharon Springs; mother-in-law, Mildred Erikson of Cobleskill; sisters and brothers, Donna (Jim) Loce of Richmondville, Sylvia (Roger) Duda of Cooperstown, Joyce (Ward) Lawyer of Howes Caves, Daniel (Loretta) Trafton of Cobleskill; two aunts, Helen (Richard) Allen of York, Maine, and Barbara Mereness; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father and his mother; his sisters, Marianne Schrom and Cynthia Spicer; as well as father-in-law, John Erikson.
Services will be announced at a later date.
