Audrey Ann Case
GILBOA — Audrey Ann Case, 81, lifelong resident of Gilboa, died peacefully on Feb. 2, 2014, surrounded by her loving family, at the home of Dick and Terri Oakley.
She was born Sept. 4, 1932, at Grand Gorge, the daughter of Erwin and Mary (Yanson) Snyder.
Audrey married Clifford Case in 1953, he died in 1991.
She retired in 1991, from the Gilboa Central School to take care of her husband who died later that year.
She enjoyed bowling and traveling. Most of her free time she worked for the Gilboa Methodist Church. She was a member of the Conesville American Legion Auxiliary and a former member of the Grand Gorge Fire Department Auxiliary.
Surviving are three daughters and their spouses, Terri and Dick Oakley, Deb and Gene Brainerd and Laurie Carman and Owen Donahue; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, William Snyder; sister, Chari Standhart; and sister-in-law, Sharon Snyder.
Audrey will join her angels in Heaven, grandson, Richard Oakley, brother, Harold Snyder and sister, Barbara Schultz.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at the Gilboa Methodist Church, Gilboa, with the Rev. Dottie Morris and the Rev. Martha Vink officiating.
Committal services will take place in the Gilboa Cemetery in the spring.
Calling hours will be held at the Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury, with family present from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m.
Donations may be made to the Gilboa Methodist Church in memory of Audrey Ann Case.
