UNADILLA — Vivian Quimby, 90, of Rogers Hollow, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at her home.
She was born June 20, 1923, in Frankfort, the daughter of Cary and Nellie (Dagenkolb) Grant.
She married the late Stephen Quimby on Dec. 26, 1943, at the Friends Church in Rogers Hollow.
Vivian was a self-employed care giver and lifelong resident of Rogers Hollow. She was a member and pianist at Friends Church, Rogers Hollow and the Unadilla Senior Citizens.
Vivian and her late husband Stephen enjoyed several years spending time at their winter home in Rockledge, Fla.
She was predeceased by her husband, Stephen Quimby.
She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara Fairchild, Unadilla and Susan and Sheldon Butler, Harpursville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve Quimby of Los Angeles; Donald and Rhea Quimby of New Mexico; grandchildren, Austin and Ethan Quimby, David (Lisa) Butler, Mike (Kathy) Butler, Matt (Tish) Butler and Holli (Kris) Fish; great-grandchildren, Nolan, Cassie, Hailey, Derek, Deanna, Jeni, Dannielle, Tyler and Ally; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Friends Church, Rogers Hollow, at a later date.
The family will receive friends at the Westcott Funeral Home from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
In the lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Friends Church in Rogers Hollow or Catskill Area Hospice.
