SIDNEY — Misty Ann Holling, 49, of Sidney, passed away following an extended illness on Friday, March 14, 2014, at M.I. Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown.

She was born Nov. 7, 1964, in Oneonta, the daughter of Vaughn and Katherine (McAdams) Horth.

Misty was a LPN at the Bridgewater Nursing Home in Binghamton for several years until her health declined and she had to retire.

She attended the Church of Christ in Sidney and enjoyed reading the Bible and going to Bible study. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Misty loved her dogs but what gave her the most joy in life was her family, especially her grandson, Rakem.

Misty is survived by her three children, RJ Holling of Sidney, Nichole Holling of East Elmhurst and Andrew Holling of Sidney; grandson, Rakem Browne; father, Vaughn Horth of Oneonta; sisters, Robin (Shawn) McLean of Mooers and Brenda Andreassean of Oneonta; brother, Gary Horth of Sarasota, Fla.; sister-in-law, Pamela Horth of Oneonta; nieces and nephews, Collette McLean, Amanda Horth, Nate McLean, Chris and Mike Andreassean, Alicia, Kyle and Cody Horth and Brendan and Cameron Horth; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was predeceased by her mother, Katherine Horth and brother, Kenneth Horth.

Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, at the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oneonta. A service to celebrate the life of Misty Ann Holling will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Larry Bailey, Pastor of the Church of Christ, Sidney, officiating. Following the service, there will be a gathering at the Oneonta Moose Club.

Spring burial will be in the Maryland Cemetery.
