Helen B. Ranieri

She was predeceased by her husband, Jack Ranieri and her infant daughter, Michelle.

Helen was an energetic and compassionate teacher who will always be remembered by her co-workers and administrators. In her retirement, Helen loved cooking, reading and playing mahjongg and bridge. She collected dolls and cookbooks. She traveled throughout Europe and the United States and had homes in Florida and Arizona. She especially enjoyed visiting her family and friends in Florida. Helen was always a lot of fun to be with and the memories we hold will always make us smile. She was a great cook, and her family and friends will miss our dinners together.

Calling hours will be at Grummons Funeral Home, 14 Grand St., Oneonta, from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 28. The funeral will be at St Mary’s Catholic Church, 39 Walnut St, Oneonta, at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29. All our family and friends are invited to the Elks Lodge, 86 Chestnut St., for a luncheon at 12:15 p.m. to celebrate Helen’s life.

Please send memorial donations to Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care, 1 Birchwood Dr., Oneonta, NY, and the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are by the Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, Oneonta.
