Gary (Bucky) DuMond
ROXBURY — Gary (Bucky) DuMond, 77, resident of Hubbell Corners, Roxbury, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, at Albany Medical Center, Albany.
Bucky was born March 4, 1936, in Vega, the son of Norman and Louise (Constable) DuMond.
He married Sharon Rice on June 1, 1960, in Scranton, Pa.
Bucky worked for the Town of Roxbury Highway Department for 18 years retiring in 1998. He had also worked at the Plattekill Ski Center. Presently he was the caretaker for Charles Muller property in Vega Valley, Town of Roxbury. Gary was a member of the Jay Gould Reformed Church.
He loved his grandchildren and each one was special to him. Bucky enjoyed horse shows and watching high school sports.
Surviving are his wife, Sharon DuMond; daughters, Cynthia Deyo, Kelly DuMond, Donna (Glen Cole) DuMond; sons, David (Sheryl) DuMond and Daniel DuMond; brother and sister-in-law, Gilbert and Bertha DuMond; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at the Jay Gould Memorial Reformed Church, Roxbury, with the Rev. Richard Dykstra, officiating.
Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, at the Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury. Committal services will be in the Bedell Cemetery, Fleischmanns.
Donation in memory of Gary DuMond may be made to the Memorial Fund of the Jay Gould Memorial Reformed Church, Roxbury, NY 12474.
