Bob was born Nov. 23, 1942, in Oneonta, to George F. and Rachel H. Reynolds.

Learning and teaching continued to be Bob’s passion after his retirement in 1998. His curiosity of the world around him and the way things worked was only surpassed by his love of sharing that knowledge with others.

His favorite hobby during his retirement years was flying radio controlled helicopters and planes. He was an active member of the Oneonta RC Flyer’s Club.

On June 6, 1965, he married Esther (Barney) Reynolds. Bob and Esther lived the first five years of their married life on Upper East Street. For the past 43 years they have lived in the town of Otego clearing land, building their house, making ponds and building a camp.
