SIDNEY — Letitia “Letty” Mark, 71, of 25 Manatee Ave., Sidney, passed away peacefully Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at A.O Fox Memorial Hospital Oneonta, following a brief illness.
She was born June 24, 1942, the daughter of the late John and Gloria George Ammermann. On July 2, 1988, she married Augustus Mark in Sidney. He predeceased her on June 2, 2012.
After high school, she completed her formal education and became a LPN. Letty was employed at the Delaware Valley Hospital, Walton and later at The Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility in Sidney.
She was a member of the Sidney United Methodist Church and the Charles L. Jacobi Post 183 American Legion Auxiliary of Sidney.
Letty is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Heather Barber of Bainbridge; two daughters and sons-in-law, Andree and Bill Bartle of Bainbridge and Tracy and John Mincarelli of Weare, N.H.; brother and sister-in-law, John and Susan Ammermann of Mohawk; five grandchildren, Rachel Mincarelli, Leah Mincarelli, Brian Conran and Nicole Townsend and Daniel Bartle and Joshua Barber; two nieces and two nephews.
Friends are invited to call from noon until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the C.H. Landers Chapel, 21 Main St., Sidney. Services will follow at 2 p.m. with Carol Coltrain officiating.
The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, contributions in Letty’s memory to Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care, 1 Birchwood Drive, Oneonta, NY 13820 or to the American Diabetes Association.
