DELMAR — Mary V. Grell, 92, passed away on Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, at Albany Memorial Hospital.
Born in Syracuse on Aug. 22, 1921, she was the daughter of the late John and Ruth (Northrup) Morgan.
Mary honorably served her country in the Army Air Corps during World War II and did civil service work at Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn. One of Mary’s favorite enjoyments was singing with the Veterans Choir at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center.
Survivors include sons, Henry (Marilyn) of New York City and David of Delmar; daughter, Carolyn (Andy) of Colorado; grandsons, Christopher (Tara) and Stephen (Maureen), and great-grandchildren, Kaitlin, Michael, Erin and James, all of New Jersey.
Mary was predeceased by a son, Arnold.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A calling hour will precede the funeral from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
