Karl P. Baeurle
COOPERSTOWN — Mr. Karl P. Baeurle, 85, passed away Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at Otsego Manor, Cooperstown.
He was born April 6, 1928, in Munich, Germany, the son of Karl and Christine (Haid) Baeurle.
He was married to Rose A. Vonderborn, she predeceased him in 2007.
He was a graduate of Cherry Valley Central School Class of 1946. He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954. He was a graduate of Oneonta College and was a professor of Early Childhood at Cobleskill College for many years and a well known Auctioneer at Turnpike Auction House and Cooper Barn, until his retirement in the mid-1990s.
He was a member of the Cherry Valley Fish and Game Club and the Roman Catholic Church.
Survivors include his sister, Anna Marie of Chicago, Ill.; his good friends, Ivan and Barb Fassett and family; and many other friends.
He was predeceased by his parents and wife.
Funeral service prayers will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov 13, 2013, at the Ottman Funeral Home, Cherry Valley. Burial will follow in the Roseboom Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, at the funeral home.
