Kenneth ‘Ken’ Lysle Strait
BOERNE, Texas — Kenneth “Ken” Lysle Strait passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at the age of 51.
He was born in Cooperstown, on June 11, 1962, to Charles Strait and Judith Thorn Jackson. He is preceded in death by his father.
Ken is survived by his sons, Zachary and Kolby Strait; mother and stepfather, David and Judith Jackson; sister, Katherine Nichols and husband Brian of Otego; grandmother, Emily Thorn of Hartwick; several aunts; uncles; nieces and nephews; and his special uncle, Jack Thorn.
Ken served in the United States Army for eight years. He was on the Army Rifle Shooting Team for six of those years. Ken started and operated Strait’s Pressure Cleaning based out of San Antonio. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing with his sons. Ken was a generous man who was always willing to lend a helping hand.
A celebration of Ken’s life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home.
