Ira B. Miller Jr.
ONEONTA — Ira B. Miller Jr. (Buck) passed away on June 12, 2013, in Cortlandt Manor, following a brief illness.
He was born Feb. 15, 1923, in Durham, N.C.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Sophie C. Miller; a daughter, Pamela M. Curtin and son-in-law, Daniel Curtin of Yorktown Heights.
Buck was a professional photographer on Long Island and owned his studio. He and Sophie retired from Long Island to Otego more than 30 years ago. He was a local codes enforcement officer for several towns and villages in the area for 15 years. He was an avid gardener and cook.
A World War II veteran, Buck was buried in the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery on Flag Day, Friday June 14.
He will miss his friends at No Place.
