Clifford J. Wilcox
EDMESTON — Clifford J. Wilcox, 63, of Edmeston, passed away Oct. 2, 2012, at MIB Hospital, Cooperstown.
Clifford was born on Aug. 19, 1949, in Columbus, the son of Clifford & Claudine (Winton) Wilcox. His childhood was spent in the Columbus, he attended New Berlin Central School and service in the United States Army from 1969-1970.
On Oct. 9, 1969, he married Patricia Mondore, who survives him.
Clifford was a self-employed truck driver. He enjoyed riding his Harley, Nascar racing, hunting, spending time with his family and the love of his black lab, Pepper.
He is survived by his children; Neil Mondore of Maryland, Connie L. Clark of South Edmeston, Clifford James Wilcox of Marathon, Jodi Clark of Smyrna, and Matthew Palmiter as well as his grandchildren; Savanah Mondore, Paige Mondore, Juliea Foland, MikaylaFoland, Ashley Mondore, Keith Mondore, Kirsten Mondore, Mike Wilcox, James Wilcox, Michael Russell and Nicholas Russell. He is also survived by his sisters; Marie Dyer of Rome, Joyce Mettler of Sherburne, Jane Mondore of New Berlin and Joan Knickerbocker of Fayetteville, NC and brother; Charles Wilcox of Sherburne, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his siblings Claude Wilcox, Beverly Carmen and Albert Wilcox.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct 6, 2012 at the Dakin Funeral Home LP, New Berlin, with Pastor Jay Henderson officiating.
