ROXBURY — Steve Charles Holloway, 66, resident of Roxbury, died Tuesad, Feb. 26, 2013.
He was born Nov. 22, 1946, in Langdale, Ala., the son of Steve Philip and Frances Ruth (Cotney) Holloway.
Steve joined the Army at the age of 17 and served two tours from Dec. 14, 1964 to Dec. 6, 1967, and then from July 29, 1968 until July 21, 1971. He was a Vietnam veteran.
He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He grew up in Miami, Fla., before moving to Roxbury in 1987. He worked as cable installer and in Roxbury for Hinkley Electric as a electrician also worked as a carpenter in the Roxbury Run project.
Steve is survived by one son, Korey Holloway of Roxbury; brother, David Holloway of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; sister, Karen Harrison and brother-in-law Mike Vera, sister, Frances and brother-in-law Mario Martorella. He is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews; and 14 great-grandnieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother, Randel Holloway; sister, Barbara Carbajo; and his mother and father.
Services for Steve will be held at a later date.
