Minetta was known to many as Sue Beckwith, as was printed on her desk name plaque, and was a New York State employee at various locations including Oneonta State University, Binghamton University, Binghamton Public Library, Greater Binghamton Health Center, and Broome Developmental Center, before taking retirement in the fall of 2009.

From there, she moved to Port St. Lucie in February 2010, where she will be missed by many new found friends; and her beloved cousin, Frank McGowan and his family.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Davies, formerly of Binghamton; daughters, Sarah L. Beckwith (Stacie Baxter) of Endicott, and Joanna Reagan (Daniel) of New Bern, N.C.; and stepdaughter, Wendy Seltzer (Chris) of Whitney Point; as well as grandchildren, Chelsea, Katie, Taylor, Connor, Natalie and Paxton; in addition to her beloved cat, Gizmo.

She was predeceased by her husband, David L. Beckwith; her mother, Jeanette Brown-Loucks; her brother, Ward Loucks Jr.; and her father, Ward Loucks Sr. Along with beloved aunts, Georgianna Tracy and Harriette McGowan; and other beloved family and friends.

Sue loved her children and grandchildren with every ounce of her soul and being. She will be greatly missed by all who had the great pleasure of knowing her.

New York services will be held at a later date to be determined by the family.

Donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, American Lung Association or a charity of one’s choice.
