TAMPA, Fla. — Carolyn G. Townsend passed on Sept. 22, 2013, at the Melech Hospice House, in Tampa, Fla.
Carolyn lived in Tampa for 55 years, having moved there from upstate New York in 1958.
Carolyn Brooks Gibson was born in Oneonta in 1926, the only child of George and Marian Gibson. She grew up in Oneonta.
Carolyn is survived by her sons, George and wife, Francine of Tampa, Fla., Steve and wife, Ruth of Redmond, Wash.; three grandchildren, Jennifer Knuth of Conifer, Colo., Zachary Townsend of Nashville, Tenn., and Rachel George of Lakewood, Colo.; and three great-grandchildren, James and Caleb Knuth of Fort Collins, Colo., and Hayley Callahan of Nashville, Tenn.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, in Myrtle Hills Cemetery in Tampa.
