NEW HARTFORD — Mr. Richard “Ike” Alpaugh, 64, of New Hartford, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at St. Luke’s Hospital.
He was born on June 18, 1948, in Cooperstown, a son of Delos Richard Alpaugh Jr., and the late Cynthia Morton Alpaugh, and a graduate of Oswego High School.
Ike was employed by Farington Packaging Co. in Utica as a technical supervisor for many years, until his retirement.
Surviving are his father, D. Richard Alpaugh Jr. of Guilford; one loving son and daughter-in-law, Brett and Deanna (DePalma) Alpaugh of New Hartford; two loving daughters, Nicole Sherman of Pennsylvania and Natalie Alpaugh of Binghamton; four cherished grandchildren, Christian, Allie, Nathan and Alyssa; one sister, Cynthia Barber of Williamson. He also leaves his wife, Brenda Alpaugh; and her children, Marsha, Trish, Mercedes and Makayla.
Visiting hours will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home, Inc. 1122 Culver Ave. Funeral services will be immediately following visiting hours at 6 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Anthony LaFache officiating.
