GOODYEAR LAKE — Thomas George Johnson Sr., born on September 7, 1935, left this world on Christmas Day to celebrate the birth of Jesus with the Lord.

Tommy was born again and was filled with the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues. Tom and Joan helped start the Living Water Faith Fellowship Church 28 years ago.

He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He was loved by everyone that met him. Tommy grew up in Schenectady and was a hard worker, his latest position was with MOSA. He was an athlete playing several sports until just recently when his health began to decline. Tommy and Joan lived on Goodyear lake where they enjoyed the water view and bird watching.

Leaving behind in this world, the love of his life, Joan Marion Reuss Johnson. His children, Thomas, Jr. (Sandy), Randall (April) Geoff, Steven and Pam (Blaine). His grandchildren, Denelle (Dustin), Randall (Ashley), Michelle (Matt), Alicia, Christopher, Samantha, Katlyn, Matthew, Tanner, Ethan and Hailey. His brothers and sisters, William (Helen), Daniel (Heidi), John (Marie), Trisha (Ron), Sharon, Mary, Robert (Jan) and Steven (Diane). Tommy was predeceased by his parents, George Johnson and Alice Johnson Hutchins and his son, Christopher Reuss Johnson.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Living Water Faith Fellowship Church, 7 Lewis Street, Oneonta. A Service to Celebrate the Life of Thomas George Johnson, Sr. will immediately follow at 12:00 PM with the Reverend Dan Runcorn officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Thomas’ name may be made to either the American Cancer Society, 13 Beech Street, Johnson City, New York 13790 or the American Diabetes Association, 6390 Fly Rd, 2nd Floor, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
