JEFFERSON — Frank P. Sacco Sr., 88, a lifelong resident of Jefferson, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at the Valley View Nursing Home in Norwich.
Frank was born on Sept. 4, 1924, in Carmel, the son of the late Margarita Sacco. Frank was a very hard worker, putting in long hours on his farm that he owned for many years in LaGrangeville.
Frank is survived by his wife, Genevieve Sacco of Harpersfield; his two sons, Frank P. Sacco Jr. and his fiancé, Billie Jo of Delhi, and Bradley Howard of Maine; his stepdaughter, Gail (Kenneth) Hulse of Davenport; two daughters, Rosemary and Ellen of Patterson; and two grandchildren, Brittany Marie Sacco and James Stanley Sacco of Grand Gorge.
He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Emma (Robert) Taylor of Davenport; his brother-in-law, Stanley Taylor of Maine; his sisters-in-law, Cheryl Doucette of Davenport, Doris (Rick) Hazel of Maine, and Geraldine (Wayne) Wyles of Maine; his uncle, Kenneth Van Wagner of Hobart; and his great uncle, Stanley James Taylor of Maine.
Frank was predeceased by his brothers, Nick Alexander, Herbie Alexander and Joe Alexander.
Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main S., Oneonta. The family will be in attendance. An opportunity to share thoughts and memories of Frank will take place at 1 p.m. at the funeral home following the calling hours.
