---- — Hilma Aleksa Rumenapp Loucks
ONEONTA — Hilma Aleksa Rumenapp Loucks, 90, of Oneonta, passed away Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at the A.O. Fox Nursing Home, Oneonta.
She was born on Feb. 7, 1922, in Plauen, Saxony, Germany, to Joseph and Kaethe Aleksa. She came to the United States from Germany in 1935, to Brooklyn. She excelled in PS 37, PS 75 and Bushwick High School. She maintained on High Honor Roll status in school, learning French and English.
Hilma first married Henry Rumenapp on Sept. 23, 1944. She later married Virgil Loucks on Feb. 18, 1962.
She worked several jobs through her life including, Oneonta Dairy, JJ Newbery’s and JC Penney’s in the office department.
She was a past member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Atonement, Oneonta.
Hilma is survived by two sons, Heinz Rumenapp and Richard and Ginny Rumenapp, both of Franklin; two stepsons, John Loucks of Cold Spring, and Don Loucks of North Hollywood, Calif.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; 10 stepgreat-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Evelyn Woodcock of Oneonta; and one niece, Diana Shafer of Stamford.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Carol Ann at birth in 1950; and her husband, Virgil in 1989.
Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to noon Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oneonta. Funeral services will immediately follow with the Rev. Paul Messner officiating. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery, Oneonta.
Memorial donations in Hilma’s name may be made to the Franklin Emergency Squad, State Highway 357, Franklin, NY 13775.
