SIDNEY — Marjorie (Corby) Wrigley passed away Dec. 6, 2012, at the Chemung County Nursing Facility in Elmira, with her family by her side.

Marge was born in Factoryville, Pa., on September 13, 1922, to Israel and Mabel Corby. She was the last surviving sibling of combined families of 13 children. She remembered, with great fondness, growing up on the farm and riding her pony, Rex.

She was predeceased by her husband, Keith A. Wrigley Sr. in 2009. They were married for nearly 68 years. She is survived by two sons, Dr. Keith A. Wrigley Jr. and his wife, Mary, of Portland, Ore.; Kenneth D. Wrigley, RPA, and his wife, Jean, of Pine City, and; one daughter, Dr. Brenda J. Wrigley and her wife, Cathy Pontante, of Manlius. She leaves five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and several grand-dogs and grand-kitties.

She was a long-time member of the Sidney United Methodist Church, the Eastern Star, the Girl Scouts of America, the Sidney Golf and Country Club, and the MacDonald Hose Auxiliary, all in Sidney, where she and Keith made their home for more than 60 years. Marge loved her family, faith and community and was known for her wry sense of humor. Some of her favorite times were spent walking the beach and seeing her “gull friends” on Cape Cod. She believed in community service and was fiercely proud of her children and their accomplishments.

The funeral, with an Eastern Star service, will be on December 15 beginning at 11 a.m. at the Sidney United Methodist Church, 12 Liberty Street, Sidney, N.Y., with a luncheon to follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift to the Sidney United Methodist Church or the Delaware Valley Humane Society, P.O. Box 182, Sidney, NY, 13838.
