STAMFORD — Raymond W. Laux, 70, of Stamford, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown.
He was born Jan. 24, 1943, in Stamford, the son of Fred and Inga (Giesmann) Laux.
A lifelong area resident Ray retired as an equipment operator at DEC Stamford.
He is survived by his brother, Harry of Cobleskill; a son, Charles Laux of Emmaus, Pa.; and three grandchildren, Johnathan Laux, Johanna Laux and Wyatt Laux.
A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Hobart, with the Rev. Elliott Oakes officiating.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
