ROXBURY — Harry L. Munsell, 73, resident of Roxbury, died Friday, June 13, 2014, at Samuel S. Stratton Veterans Hospital, Albany.

Harry was born Nov. 19, 1940, in Roxbury, the son of Henry and Margaret (Gregory) Munsell.

He graduated from Roxbury Central School in 1958, and then joined the U.S. Air Force and served from 1958 to 1962.

He was a manager at several locations for the Newberry Department Stores, after returning to Roxbury he worked for his brother, David in the construction business. Harry was an excellent tile setter and was well-known for that talent.

He enjoyed dancing and camping and was a good piano player.

Surviving Harry are his longtime companion, Barbara Meade; a daughter, Michele Morris and her husband, Eric; brother, David Munsell and his wife, Barbara, sisters, Elizabeth Wu, MaryLou Niles and her husband, Richard, Antha Robbins and her husband, James; special daughters, Joanna (Eric) Biagi and Jessica (Sweeny) Murti; grandchildren, Natalie Morris, Aurelia Biagi, Caroline and Ryan Murti; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2014, at the Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 2 until service time at 4 p.m.

Committal service will be at a later date.

Donations in memory of Harry may be made to the Fisher House at the Samuel S. Stratton Veterans Medical Center, 113 Holland Ave., Albany, NY 12208 or the Memorial Fund of the Jay Gould Memorial Reformed Church, Roxbury, NY 12474.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury.
