JEFFERSON — John Cantele, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 18, 2014.
He was born in White Plains, the son of Nello and Clara (Scudella) Cantele on April 12, 1930.
John spent most of his life in Waterbury, Conn., spending his last years in Jefferson. He served in the United States Army Tank Division during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged. John’s passion was model airplanes, both bi-planes and single wing aircraft.
He will be remembered with much love by his sisters, Norma Latina of Watertown, Conn. and Cookie Traver of Waterbury, Conn.; aunt, Valia Paoletto; nephews, Tom (JoAnne) Nappi, Robert (Lori) Margaitis; niece, Susie (Steven) Cantoni; also many cousins; several grand-nieces and nephews.
John was predeceased by his parents and his daughter, Jill.
Graveside funeral services will be at noon Saturday, June 21, in the North Korthright Cemetery, North Korthright, with Pastor Fred De Cristopher officiating.
