Gerald Charles Faulds
WOLCOTT, Conn. — Gerald Charles Faulds (Jerry), 54, lost his three-year battle with cancer on June 20, 2014.
Born Nov. 23, 1959, son of Charles and Jacqueline (Shannon) Faulds, he graduated from Worcester Central School in 1977 and attended Cayuga College.
He joined the U.S. Army in 1985, becoming a Special Forces paratrooper. He attained the rank of S/SGT and learned to speak Arabic at the American Language Institute in California. Jerry served in Desert Storm, Desert Shield and the Gulf War as an intelligence analyst.
After learning Vietnamese, Jerry made seven trips to Vietnam in search and recovery of POW-MIAs digging in fields where Agent Orange had been spilled. He and his group recovered eight MIAs. He left the Army in 1995.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Regina (Smith) Faulds; children, Christopher Faulds, Chandler, Ariz., Madison and Michael Faulds, Wolcott, Tom Silva, California, Tara Silva Wolcott; grandchildren, Anthony and Gabriella, Wolcott; mother, Jacqueline, Worcester; brother, Patrick (Lorraine) Faulds and daughter, Sarah, Columbia, S.C.; sister, Lori (Kevin) Sullivan and children, Brendan and Kate Sullivan, Wilton, Conn.; several aunts, uncles; and many cousins.
He was predeceased by his loving father, Charles Faulds.
Jerry is now with God and his Dad.
