DELHI — Rachael Anne Branciforte, age 29, of Delhi, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 3, 2014, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Mt. Kisco on Oct. 9, 1984, and lived for 16 years in Cortlandt Manor.

Her family moved to Delaware County in 2000. She attended Delaware Academy High School, where she enjoyed cheer leading and Grand Gorge BOCES, graduating with a degree in early childhood education.

She was passionate about animals, music, all holidays — especially Halloween — the color yellow, but most of all, her family.

She aspired to be a beautiful person inside and out. She took a special interest in her life partner’s Chinese culture and shared that knowledge with her boys.

For the past several years, Rachael enjoyed working as the front end manager of her partner’s family restaurant while also being a full-time mom.

Rachael is survived by her life partner, Shu Sheng Dong; two sons, Wyatt and Preston; and her parents, Benita and Bill Branciforte. Also surviving are her siblings, Peggy Sue Saunders and her husband John, Chuckie Branciforte, Elizabeth Branciforte, Billy Branciforte, and two half-siblings Jason Branciforte and Donna Rosenking. She leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins and five nephews.

She was predeceased by her mother’s parents, March and Ben Stokes, and her father’s parents, Margie and Caesar Branciforte.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a college scholarship fund for her children. Please make checks payable to Benita Branciforte and mail them c/o MacArthur Funeral Home, 131 Main St., Delhi, NY 13753.

A service in celebration of her life will be held Monday, July 7, 2014 at 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 21 Second St. in Delhi, NY. A private burial service was held.
