FLEISCHMANNS — Jacqualine (Jackie) Grocholl, 86, passed away May 30, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She married Lewis Grocholl in Walton on Oct. 17, 1957.
She was employed by New York Telephone as chief operator for 21 years.
She was a lifetime resident of Fleischmanns and was a very involved member and treasurer of the Fleischmanns Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Fleischmanns School Board and a board member of the Fleischmanns Museum of Memories.
A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and baker of many baked goods.
She was predeceased by her brother, Earl; and sisters, Dorothy, Gloria and Beverly.
She is survived by her spouse, Lewis; three sons, Thomas and wife Kathleen, Carl and wife Pamela, James and wife Kelly. Also a nephew, Michael Bohan and wife Kimberly. Also surviving are six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013, at the Hynes Funeral Home, Margaretville.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2013, at the Fleischmanns Community Church with committal service to follow at the Bedell Cemetery.
The Rev. Adrian Todd and the Rev. Ralph Darmstadt will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the Fleischmanns Community Church in Jackie’s honor.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Hynes Funeral Home.
