UNADILLA — Robert L. Dyer, 80, of Unadilla, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at the home of his sister-in-law, Marjorie Harris.
He was born in Delhi, the son of George Dyer and Anabel (Cairns) Dyer.
Robert served his country in the United States Army and was stationed overseas. He was employed at Bendix in Sidney for several years and worked on the farm and then was employed as a truck driver in Pennsylvania.
One of Robert’s favorite pastimes was western square dancing and he enjoyed doing this with his special friend.
He is survived by his sisters, Lillian Musson of Gilbertsville and Lucille Campbell; sisters-in-law, Marjorie Harris, Martha Harder and Florence Salvatore; brother-in-law, Lester Leizear; and several children.
He was predeceased by his wife, Betty (Leizear) Dyer; and several brothers and sisters.
There will be no calling hours and a burial of ashes will be private and at the convenience of the family.
