Florence Jenny (D’Esposito) Catania
BROOKLYN — Florence Jenny (D’Esposito) Catania, 98, peacefully left this world on May 4, 2014.
A self-proclaimed “city girl,” Florie was born on June 2, 1915, and spent her entire life in Brooklyn.
A graduate of The High School of Fashion Industries, she later met and married Philip, the love of her life, during World War II.
She is survived by her beloved children, Lucy C. Hamilton (Rob) of Weston, Conn., and Philip George Catania (Karin) of Garrattsville. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Dr. Lucien Catania (Kathleen), Dr. Adrien Catania (Sheila), Crista Tucker (Brian), Carel Hearon, Justin Hearon (Alexandra) and Knut Catania; in addition to her 11 loved great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Florie attributed her longevity to the wonders of chiropractic medicine and a positive attitude through concept therapy.
She will be deeply missed and long remembered. Noi ti amiamo.
Arrangements are by the Johnston Funeral Home of Morris.
