Hope Milne Yager
GOODYEAR LAKE — Hope Milne Yager, 71, of Goodyear Lake, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014, at M.I. Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown.
She was born Feb. 14, 1943, in Plainfield, N.J., the daughter of the late Henry and May (Hope) Gauthier.
For 20 years, Hope worked at the A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital in the X-Ray Department as a medical administrator.
On March 17, 1984, Hope married Robert Yager in Oneonta. Bob predeceased her on Jan. 10, 2012.
Hope enjoyed being in the outdoors whether it was camping, fishing, gardening or traveling she loved it all. She especially loved spending time with her family and cooking for them and she always looked forward to the annual Pig Roast.
Hope is survived by her four children, Lori (Joe) Hollenbeck of Goodyear Lake, Blaine (Liz) Banhart of Oneonta, Chris (Toni) Ravis of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and Frank Ravis of New York City; two grandsons, Jacob Ravis and Bobby Banhart; two great-granddaughters, Lyla and Abby Banhart; one brother, Hank Gauthier of Big Bear, Calif.; and a special friend, Robert Ravis.
She was predeceased by her grandson, Anthony Banhart.
At Hope’s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
