DELHI — Tyrina L. Scott Johnson, 42, of Largo, Fla., formerly of Delhi, passed away suddenly on Sunday evening, May 18, 2014, at her home.

She was born on April 11, 1972, in St. Clair Shores, Mich., the daughter of Theresa Maciatek Scott and the late Peter Scott.

Tyrina lived in Largo, moving there four years ago from Delhi. She had also previously lived in South Carolina.

She enjoyed movies and most anything associated with Disney. Tyrina was an avid reader and enjoyed Stephen King and other suspense/thriller books. She also loved the beach, often enjoying the sand, sun and breezes.

Ms. Johnson was a graduate of Delaware Academy and had worked as an information receptionist and telephone operator for various companies over the years.

She is survived by her mother, Theresa Scott and stepfather, James Gage of Delhi; sister, Tiffany (Brad) Menard and their son, Jackson of Milton, Fla.; brothers, Craig (Jessica Fox) Scott of Delhi; stepbrothers, Budd (Mary) Geiger and their children, Joshua and Tadd, Tim Geiger and Scott Geiger, all of Florida; stepsisters, Tracey (Duane) Willoughby and their sons, Wesley and Lucas of Sharon Springs, Chris (Bryan) Elmendorf and their children, Sidney and Cole of Franklin and Pam (Matt) Outsen and their children, Aderinna and Charlotte of Delhi.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 9, at Hall & Peet Funeral Home, 134 Main St., Delhi, where a celebration of life will follow at 8 p.m. Burial will take place in Woodland Cemetery, Delhi.
