Donald H. Gould

Donald H. Gould, 75, of Greencastle, Ind., and formerly of Franklin, Ind., passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville, Ind.

He was born Sept. 20, 1937, in Roscoe, to Donald P. and Lois (Hollenbeck) Gould.

He married Gayle M. (Traynor) Gould on July 11, 1959, in West Chazy, she survives.

He was a 1955 graduate of Delaware Academy in Delhi, received his AAS in 1958, from ATI (now known as Canton College in Canton,) and received his BSME in 1962, from Tri State College in Angola, Ind.

The Goulds moved to Franklin, Ind., in 1986, where Don worked for Bendix Allied for 30 years, retiring in 2004, from Molex RF in Mooresville, Ind. While working at Bendix, he had developed three patents for the company.

He had served in the New York State Army National Guard.

He had been a member of the Franklin Kiwanis Club since 1987, where he was past president, past member of the Board of Directors, Campaign Chairman for the United Way of Sidney, and was a licensed real estate agent for the Jim Williams Real Estate Group.

Survivors include his wife, Gayle M. (Traynor) Gould of Greencastle, Ind.; sons, Steven D. Gould (Mary Jo) of McHenry, Ill., Keith M. Gould (Donna) of Easton, Md., and Todd D. Gould (Karen) of Davenport, Fla.; daughter, Marcia A. Bright (Aron) of Greencastle, Ind.; brother, Charles F. Gould (Barbara) of BelAlton, Md.; sister, Diane L. Lutz (Rich) of Bloomville; and 10 grandchildren, Joseph Gould and Tiffany Gould, both of McHenry, Ill., Matthew, Michael, Nicole, and Mark Gould, all of Easton, Md., Garrett and Carson Gould, both of Davenport, Fla., and Alyssa and Royce Bright, both of Greencastle, Ind.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The Rev. Bruce Bendinger will conduct a service at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5. 2012, at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, Ind. Friends may call from 3 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the mortuary.

A graveside service will be conducted at noon Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
