FRANKLIN — Kenneth V. Barringer, 83, of Franklin, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at the Valley View Nursing Home in Norwich.
He was born on Aug. 9, 1929, in the Town of Franklin the son of Hiram and Jessie (Walley) Barriger.
Ken was a local dairy farmer for most of his life and was a well-known cattle dealer.
He is survived by his children, Mark (Rebecca) Barringer of South New Berlin, Tammy and Pam Barringer of Walton; his grandchildren, the lights of his life, Brandon, Alexis, Meghan, Samantha, Bethanee and Kristena Barringer of South New Berlin and Sadie Peck of Walton; a sister, Jeanette Krom of Liberty and his brothers, Raymond of Masonville and Donald of Walton; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by the mother of his children, Joyce Bullis of South New Berlin.
He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers, Paul and Hiram Jr.; a sister, Flossie and a granddaughter, Cheyenne Renwick.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at the Kenneth L. Bennett Funeral Home, 425 Main St.., Franklin with Maureen Joy, officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, prior to the funeral.
