DAVENPORT — Stoddard F. (Scotty) Parks, 73, of Penhook, Va., formerly of Davenport, passed away on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 2, 2012, at the VA Medical Center in Salem, Va.
He was born Feb. 6, 1939, in Lew Beach, the son of Fred and Dorothy Parks.
He was employed for many years at Hartwick College in Oneonta.
He is survived by his wife, Hannah Martin Parks of Penhook, Va.; sons, Scott (Katherine) Parks of Mooresville, N.C., Todd (Stephanie) Parks of Stanley, Va.; daughters, Jenettie (Michael) Rompf of Mooresville, N.C., Michelle (Randy) Curran of East Meredith; grandchildren, Renee Parks, Zoe and Dalton Curran, T.J. Parks, Michael and Jacob Rompf; and many more family and friends.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Virginia Veterans Care Center and the VA Medical Center for their support in his final days.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
