WARNERVILLE — Eric J. Laubmeier, 82, of state Route 7, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Doylestown Hospital in Doylestown, Pa.
Born April 7, 1931, in Brooklyn, he was the son of Joseph and Theresia (Obermaier) Laubmeier.
Eric was a 1949 graduate of the former Cobleskill Central School and furthered his education at Cornell University for a year. He then studied agricultural business at SUNY Cobleskill.
Eric was a diary farmer all his life, working the family farm. He was also a school bus driver for the Cobleskill Central School District and retired from SUNY Cobleskill where he was a herdsman.
He loved people and animals, especially the many dogs he had over the years. Eric was of a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cobleskill.
Survivors include his brother, Albert (Becky) Laubmeier of Perkasie, Pa; three nieces, Pamela (Christopher) DeLuca of Mechanicsburg, Pa., Susan (Dan) Gallagher of Perkiomenville, Pa., Jennifer Laubmeier of Perkasie, Pa; and one grand-nephew, Ryan DeLuca of Mechanicsburg, Pa.
A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2013, at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 138 Washington Avenue, Cobleskill, with Father Jeff L’Arche as celebrant. Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill. Burial will be in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.
